Starting with a unique educational back-ground, the idea, CVM Services, rises out of a small town in the Island of Jamaica. I attended a small teachers college in Jamaica, ‘Bethlehem Teachers’ College’, one of the oldest teachers college in Jamaica- built and started in the year 1840. My undergraduate degree I acquired at Mary Grove College. (BSW): Then moved on to my graduate degree from Eastern Michigan University. My vision to help individuals to make it a purpose in life to enhance their emotional well-being has always been my goal in life. At CVM Services, the overall approach to counseling is motivated by both an intellectual curiosity about the client’s problem and a compassionate desire to help each individual to acquire the specific skills and knowledge needed to build and use the tools they need for optimal normal functioning. I particularly look for knowledge and skills in specific/individualized areas. The client’s response towards this approach usually reflects his/her eagerness to be able to identify and distinguish the tools needed for organizing the knowledge-base for a more productive future.
