Cecilia Astorga-Switzer Claim

Dr. Astorga-Switzer has been providing psychiatric care to children and their families since 1983. She specializes in child and adolescent psychiatry, emphasizing comprehensive psychiatric services and the use of evidence based treatment practices. She provides comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, medication management, and training and consultation to clinical staff at The Children’s Center. Dr. Astorga-Switzer believes in an integrated health care approach when addressing the needs of children, adolescents and their families who are affected by behavioral and emotional disorders. She has special interests in the field of attention deficit disorders, developmental disabilities and autism spectrum disorders. Dr. Astorga-Switzer completed her Bachelor of Arts degree in 1972 at the University of the Philippines in Quezon City, Philippines. She earned her medical degree in 1976 from the University of the Philippines College of Medicine. She is board certified in general psychiatry and in child and adolescent psychiatry.
